Man Sought for Four Maryland Bank Robberies

Latest robbery in Clinton Monday

Prince George's County police are searching for a man suspected in a string of local bank robberies, including one Monday morning at an M&T Bank in Clinton, Md.

The man walked into the M&T Bank on Kirby Road Monday morning and passed a note to a teller, demanding money, police said. The suspect then took an unknown amount of money before leaving on foot, according to authorities.

Police said the same man may also be responsible for three other bank robberies:

  • Capitol One Bank located in the 1000 block of Largo Center Drive, Largo, Feb. 9
  • SunTrust Bank located in the 5700 block of South East Crain Highway, Upper Marlboro, Jan. 10
  • Wells Fargo Bank located in the 5800 block of Silver Hill Road, District Heights, Dec. 29

In each robbery, a man passed a note demanding money from the register, then took cash and fled the scene on foot.

The man is described as black, between the ages of 25 and 40 years old. He is about 5-foot-9-inches to 6-feet tall and weighs about 150-200 lbs.
