A southeast Washington man died after being shot in his car while driving home from a Prince George County nightclub early Saturday morning, according to police Sunday.

21-year-old Kordero Maurice Howard had left the Icon Nightclub in Waldorf, MD and was making his way home with friends on Route 5 when the shooting occurred.

The suspect pulled alongside Howard’s car and fired one shot inside as it neared the intersection of Branch Avenue and Coventry Way in Clinton, MD. Howard was hit in the upper body.

Howard was taken by witnesses to Greater Southeast Hospital where he later died.

Prince George County Police are still searching for the shooter. A $25,000 cash reward is being offered for information that would lead to an arrest and indictment.

Officials are asking anyone with information to call 301.722.4925.
