Police are investigating after a person was shot late Sunday night on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.
A 911 call came in just before 11:30 p.m. from someone who reported hearing gunfire on the B-W Parkway.
Responding officers found a car stopped on the shoulder of the road just south of Route 198. Inside were two men -- one had been shot in the arm and shoulder.
According to police, the shooting happened a few miles away on a different stretch of the road. The victim then continued to drive for about two miles before pulling to the side of the road.
The southbound lanes of the B-W Parkway were shut down for several hours, but reopened in time for the morning rush hour.
Investigators are still trying to figure out if the gunman knew the victim, or if this was a random act of violence or road rage.
The victim is expected to survive.
