A man is fighting for his life after being shot several times inside his own home.

Around 1 a.m. Friday, someone fired into the victim's house at the intersection of Annapolis Road and 71st Street in Landover Hills.

Bullets passed through the glass of an exterior window and struck the victim, who was sitting inside the home.  The man was struck multiple times, including once in the face.

He attempted to drive himself to the hospital, but was unable to make it there on his own.  Authorities found him bloodied inside his car two blocks form his home.

He has been transported for treatment.  Police have not released his condition at this time.

Law enforcement did say this house was the location of another recent shooting.  No one was injured in that earlier incident.
