A man was shot and killed Sunday afternoon in Southeast D.C., just east of Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, police say.
Onyekachi Emmanuel Osuchukwu III, 24, was found after D.C. police responded about 4:15 p.m. Sunday to a report of an unconscious person. Officers found the California man shot on the 2900 block of 2nd Street SE. Osuchukwu was pronounced dead at the scene.
The homicide is under investigation.
