Man Shot, Killed in SE Washington ID'd

A man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Southeast Washington, but police have no witnesses to the crime.

 

Police said the shooting occurred just after 2 a.m. on E Street near 53rd Street. The victim has been identified as Christopher Ballard, 38, of Southeast D.C.

There is no word on any arrests and police say they do not have any details about the shooter.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
