Man Shot By Police in Northeast D.C.

A man was shot by police Thursday night.

The incident happened around 8:00 p.m. on Ponds Street, NE.

It is unclear what led to the shooting, but police say the man who was shot was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.

The officer involved in the shooting was not injured.
