Police are looking for a man and a woman who fled the scene of a shooting at an IHOP restaurant in Columbia Heights early Sunday morning.

The shooting occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. at the IHOP location on Irving Street near the Columbia Heights Metro station. Police say one man was shot in the chest and that the shooting stemmed from a fight over a woman.

Witnesses said the man, whose name has not been released, was conscious and breathing when he was transported to Medstar Surgery Center. The restaurant was briefly closed while police interviewed patrons, but has since re-opened.
