A man was hospitalized in serious condition after a fire in northeast D.C.

The fire in the 400 block of 15th Street was reported about 8 p.m. The fire was extinguished by 9 p.m.

D.C. Fire believes the blaze may have started on the second floor of the home.

A 5-year-old boy may have been in the home, according to D.C. Fire. He was found at a neighbor's home and is being checked but will not be taken to a hospital.
