Serial bank robber has hit four banks in Maryland

A serial bank robber is on the loose, and police in Maryland are hoping the public can help identify him.

The man has committed four banks armed bank robberies since March 2008, according to Montgomery County detectives.

The suspect is said to be 6 feet to 6 feet 5 inches tall, with a heavy build.  He is pictured wearing a number of disguises during the robberies, including a false beard, fake teeth, and a Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police uniform.

The banks hit include:

  • March 31, 2008 – BB&T Bank at 9815 Main Street in Damascus
  • November 21, 2008 – SunTrust Bank inside a Safeway at 2021 Goshen Road in Montgomery Village
  • December 9, 2008 – BB&T Bank, at8019 Snouffer School Road in Gaithersburg
  • December 12, 2008 – Washington Mutual Savings Bank in Crofton

The Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division is leading the investigation, with help from Anne Arundel County Police and the FBI.
