Authorities in Prince George's County, Md., are investigating a homicide in Temple Hills, police said.
Officers went to the 4400 block of 23rd Parkway about 9:30 p.m. Thursday for a report of a shooting, police said. Responding officers found an unconscious man suffering from body trauma, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police later identified the victim as 31-year-old Gregory L. Lawton, of Temple Hills.
Police are looking for James Allen Payne in connection with the slaying.
