Man Kidnapped, Robbed Near UMD Campus

The three men are still at-large, police say.

Three men kidnapped and robbed a man near the University of Maryland, according to Prince George’s County police.

The man was driving on University Boulevard around 1:30 a.m. Sunday when a man on the side of the road flagged him down, investigators say.

When the driver stopped, the man pulled a gun and got into the back seat. He ordered the driver to go a couple of blocks to Stanford Street, where two other armed men got into the car. That’s when the men robbed the driver of cash and other property.

The men ran off in the direction of the University Hills Duck Pond Park. All three attackers are Hispanic and believed to be between the ages of 17 and 20.

The victim told police that all three were wearing their shirts inside out. None are believed to have any connection with the university.

Police are asking anyone with information on this case to contact the Prince George’s County Police Department.
