Man Jumps Store Counter, Grabs Cash in Loudoun County Robbery

A man jumped a store counter to grab cash out of a register Wednesday evening, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

A man wearing a red jacket, blue jeans, a black stocking cap, purple gloves and a blue bandana to conceal his face entered the High-Up Food Mart in the 400 block of Enterprise Street in Sterling, Virginia, before 9:30 p.m., showed a gun and demanded cash, according to the sheriff's office.

A few moments after grabbing cash, an employee and a customer tried to stop him, according to the sheriff's office. He managed to get away with the money but without the gun.

No serious injuries were reported.
