Montgomery County Police say the body of a missing Germantown man was found in a Gaithersburg lake Tuesday morning.
Someone spotted 22-year-old Maurice Darnell Munford Jr.'s body in the lake near the intersection of Russell Avenue and Montgomery Avenue just before 10 a.m., police said. The lake is located near the Lake Forest Mall.
Munford was reported missing by family members on May 16th. He was last seen in the area of the mall.
Relatives and police were concerned about his emotional well-being.
The medical examiner will determine a cause and manner of death.
