Man Fatally Stabbed Inside Centreville Home

For the second time in seven months, someone was stabbed to death inside the same Fairfax County townhouse.

Mario Cedillo-Santiago, 29, was found dead inside his apartment at The Meadows in Centreville on Cool Oak Lane Saturday afternoon. One of his roommates, Roman Guzman, told News4 a visitor was drinking with Cedillo-Santiago when an argument led to Cedillo-Santiago's death.

Guzman said prior to Cedillo-Santiago's death, eight Guatemalan men were living inside the three-room townhouse. Cedillo-Santiago has been sending money back home to a child, according to Guzman.

"Obviously they generate situations that are not safe for them and then that's not safe for us. That's where I start to be concerned for my well-being and those I care for," Liz Mueller, whose mother lives next door, told News4.

Under Fairfax County zoning rules, only four unrelated people can live in the same home without special approval.

"It's out of control. We're just scared sometimes because we have kids," neighbor Leomar Silva said.

The Meadows management office referred News4 to an attorney, who said, "The board of directors does view this as a rather tragic event. It needs to be reviewed."
