Man Exposes Self to Female Runner: Police

Happened on Fall Hill Avenue in Fredericksburg

A man exposed himself to a female jogger in Fredericksburg, police say.

The victim told authorities she was on Fall Hill Avenue near Outdoor Center on around 7:40 p.m. Sunday when she noticed the exposed man.

The man began to follow her after she passed him on the path, and trailed her for a short distance until she met with another woman who was also exercising alone.

Officials say the two women continued running towards Route 1 until the victim stepped off the path to call the police from a nearby business.

She then ran up Mary Washington Boulevard when she saw the same man on the steps leading down to the canal path at Snowden Wetlands, and flagged down a Virginia State Trooper.

The trooper searched the area along with Fredericksburg Police, but the man was not found.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s with a medium complexion, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and blue jeans.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
