Man Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash in Prince George's

    A 49-year-old man was killed last week when he drove off the road and struck a utility pole in Prince George's County.

    A 49-year-old man was killed following a single-vehicle crash in Prince George's County last week.

    According to officials, crews were dispatched to an accident June 26 just before 11 a.m. in the 5400 block of Annapolis Road in Bladensburg, Md.

    There, they found a man in critical condition. Investigation revealed the man, identified as Kerry L. Johnson of Hyattsville, Md., lost control of his car, ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole.

    Johnson was transported to a local hospital, where he passed away two days later.

    Officials said alcohol, speed and weather do not appear to have been factors in the crash.
