Police say a Montgomery Village man riding his motorcycle crashed into his own home after doing a trick and was later pronounced dead.

According to Montgomery County Police, the man was riding his motorcycle in the 20700 block of Highland Hall Drive around 5 p.m. Friday when he attempted to do a "wheelie." He lost control of the motorcycle, accelerated, struck a curb then crashed into his own home.

The man, identified as 44-year-old Richard M. Sampson, was pinned under his motorcycle. Police say he was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. No one else was injured.
