Man Dies in Leesburg Crash

Authorities say Joseph M. Watson, 34, lost control of his car and crossed into oncoming traffic

A man was killed Friday morning in a two-car crash in Leesburg, Va.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time, but Leesburg Police were called to the area of 37 Catoctin Circle SE around 7:35 a.m.

Joseph M. Watson, 34, of Leesburg, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said Watson lost control of his 2003 Infiniti G35 and crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding with a 2002 Ford E-350 van.

The driver of the van was taken to Loudoun Inova Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

A portion of Catoctin Circle SE remained closed shortly before 10 a.m. for authorities to investigate the accident.
