A Williamsburg, Va., man died Saturday after he tried to rescue two teenagers who were struggling in the ocean, according to Virginia Beach police.
Police spokesman Adam Bernstein told media outlets that Clemente Soto-Moreno, 31, reached the teens but he couldn't bring them to shore.
Another beachgoer went into the water and rescued the teens. The man went back into the water to help Soto-Moreno but couldn't find him.
Lifeguards found Soto-Moreno about 10 minutes later. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
