A man has died after he was shot Tuesday night on M Street in Northwest D.C, near the NoMa neighborhood.
Police responded to a call about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday night reporting gunshots. Officers arrived to find 28-year-old Jamar Morris, who lived in Northwest D.C., unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound on the unit block of M Street, near 1st Street NW, police said.
Morris was taken to the hospital, but efforts to save his life failed, authorities said.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
Police are offering a reward of as much as $25,000 to anyone that can provide information that results in an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.
