Man Dies After Crashing Car Into Brick Wall

A man died after losing control of his car and crashing into a brick wall and tree late Wednesday night in Silver Spring, Md.

Montgomery County police say around 2:43 a.m. officers from the 4th District responded to University Boulevard West and Dennis Avenue for a report of a serious personal injury collision.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a gray 2009 Honda Civic was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control while attempting to go around a curve past Dennis Avenue, police said.

He has been identified as 26-year-old Aaron J. Williams of Hyattsville, Md.

The car struck a tree and a brick wall and stopped in the parking lot of 401 University Boulevard West.

Williams was transported to MedStar and died of his injuries early Thursday morning.

The passenger in the vehicle was transported to MedStar with serious injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the collision are under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
