Man Commits Two Bank Robberies Within an Hour

Two bank robberies were committed within an hour of each other, and now deputies in Stafford County are looking for the suspect.

The first bank robbery was reported at 9:11 a.m. at the Wells Fargo at 131 Garrisonville Road in north Stafford. Investigators say the suspect handed the teller a note demanding money in large denominations. But when the teller told the man they did not have the requested denominations, the suspect walked out of the bank.

No weapon was displayed, authorities say.

Thirty minutes later., the same suspect entered a BB&T at 760 Warrenton Road in south Stafford. This time, he told the teller that he had a weapon and was given an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect was last seen walking out of the bank.

Police say between the two robberies, the suspect changed his shirt and hat.
