Man Charged in Robberies of Subway Restaurants

Montgomery County police have charged a man with five robberies of Subway restaurants in a month. Two of the restaurants were robbed twice.

Detectives arrested 24-year-old Timothy Luke Howell on Friday. He is charged with armed robbery and other offenses.

Howell robbed subway restaurants in Germantown and Gaithersburg between Nov. 4 and Dec. 5, police said. In each crime, a man showed a handgun and demanded cash, officers said.
