Police say a 29-year-old Adelphi man intentionally rammed his car into another vehicle and then stabbed one of the passengers multiple times.

Edwin Bladmir Escobar-Salmeron has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and other counts. He is scheduled for a bond hearing on Monday.

Police found the stabbing victim, a 27-year-old Silver Spring man, just after midnight Saturday. They say the victim had been at a Wheaton restaurant and left with a group of friends. They didn't drive far before their car was rammed.

The victim is hospitalized and is expected to survive.
