Man Charged With DUI After Jeep Hits Divider, Kills Woman

A man has been charged with driving under the influence after his jeep slammed into a traffic divider, killing one of his passengers.

Police said Andre Glenn, 26, of Sterling, Virginia, was in the northbound lanes of Route 28, near the Fairfax County line, when he hit a traffic divider about 2 a.m. Tuesday. Two women riding in the jeep were thrown from the vehicle.

One woman, identified by family as Gabrielle Perry, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other woman suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver and a male passenger who remained inside the vehicle were not seriously injured. Glenn was charged with driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license.
