Man Arrested in Two D.C. Homicides

A 29-year-old D.C. man was arrested earlier this month on two unrelated homicide charges.

Police say Reynald Cook was charged earlier this week with two counts of first degree murder while armed in the July 2007 death of 32-year-old Nacarto Gladden and the February 2012 death of 30-year-old Yolanda Stone.

Stone, the mother of Cook's children, was allegedly shot several times by Cook in front of their children in northeast D.C. She died three months after the shooting.

Gladden was also shot multiple times in northeast D.C.

Cook was initially arrested May 10 by the State College Pennsylvania Police Department on unrelated charges and was handed over to the District this week.
