District of Columbia police arrested a man in the death of a woman in Southeast last week.
Kevin McDarin Johnson, 51, is under arrest in the strangulation of 48-year-old Detra Martin, police said Saturday.
Martin was found unconscious Thursday night inside a home in the 800 block of Southern Avenue, police said. She was determined to have been strangled to death.
Johnson was arrested Friday evening.
A police spokesman did not immediately know the relationship between Martin and Johnson, and it wasn't immediately clear if Johnson had a lawyer.
