Police arrested 28-year-old Jonathan Fullard of southeast Washington on Monday for the first-degree murder of a 20-month-old child.
Police responded to a call to United Medical Center on March 5 and found the child, Kayontae Osbia Moore, in extremely critical condition. Someone had brought the child from the 3000 block of 30th Street SE in a private vehicle, authorities said.
Hospital staff transported the baby to Children’s National Medical Center and pronounced the child dead shortly after. The office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be blunt impact trauma and ruled the death a homicide, according to police.
Police have not released any further details.
