Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting of a Fredericksburg man in his townhouse early Saturday morning.
Tyrone Tomek Johnson, 35, was arrested Saturday afternoon in the 1000 block of Wicklow Drive. He was charged with first-degree homicide and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Investigators believe that Johnson shot 28-year-old Nathaniel Henderson in the latter's townhouse early Saturday morning after a dispute broke out between the two during a gathering of friends Another friend of Henderson's found his body and alerted police at around 3:30 Saturday morning.
Police describe Henderson and Johnson as acquaintances. It is not clear what the origins of the dispute were.
Henderson is currently being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
