Man Accused of Stabbing Coworker at Md. Hotel

Baltimore County police charged a hotel employee with attempted murder after they he allegedly stabbed a coworker in the head.

Officers were called to the Sheraton Hotel in Towson about 11:30 p.m. Saturday for a report of a stabbing. Police say two hotel employees got into a fight in an elevator at the facility and one stabbed the other with a pocket knife.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Derrick Lamont Newman, 28, of Brooklyn, was arrested after a brief foot chase, police said. He is being held without bail.
