Man Accused of Kidnapping Judge Competent to Stand Trial

A Montgomery County man accused of kidnapping and assaulting a female judge with whom he was living has been found compentent to stand trial, a judge ruled Friday.

Rickley J. Senning was charged with kidnapping and assaulting 53-year-old Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge Audrey Creighton in May following a domestic dispute.

Senning was also charged with false imprisonment, drunken driving and stealing Creighton's 2011 BMW.

Senning's trial was scheduled to begin Monday, Nov. 17, but it was continued until Feb. 17, 2015 after Senning replaced his attorneys and his new lawyer requested more time to review the evidence in the case.
