A 35-year-old man is facing multiple charges following allegations he sexually assaulted a woman at knifepoint in Frederick, Maryland.
Officers were called to the 100 block of E. All Saints Street at 2:33 a.m. Sunday for a report of a sexual assault. The victim told police the suspect threatened her with a knife and "forced her to have sexual contact with him."
The woman was able to run away and was not injured.
Police say the suspect, identified as Yaovi Koumessi, was found a short distance away. Koumessi has been charged with first degree assault, second degree assault, third degree sex offense and fourth degree sex offense.
