Nothing Found After Threats Called to Bank, Store

Annapolis police are investigating three incidents where bomb threats were called in and demands for money were made.

Maj. Scott Baker, with the Annapolis Police Department, said the phone calls indicated there were devices inside the SunTrust Bank on Main Street, a SunTrust bank on Solomons Island Road, and the Giant Supermarket on Bay Ridge Road. He said the person making the calls demanded money.

All locations and surrounding areas were evacuated and searched. Authorities did not find any devices.

Baker said the Maryland State Police, Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office, and the FBI are assisting in the investigation. He said several businesses were affected by the police activity.
