WASHINGTON -- MTV is scrapping its plans for an inaugural party at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, the Washington Business Journal reported.

Instead, the Viacom unit is teaming with ServiceNation to air "Be the Change: Live From the Inaugural" from the Washington Hilton on all MTV channels and platforms at 10 p.m. Jan. 20.

The program highlights three major service projects, including volunteers completing renovations at Simon Elementary School in D.C. It also will feature live remarks from Barack Obama.
