A MARC train struck a teenage boy in Laurel, Maryland, during the Monday evening rush, suspending service for a short time on the Camden Line, authorities say.
Prince George's County Fire and EMS said about 5:30 p.m. that the teen was struck and was under the train when they got to the scene near Bowie Road and Lafayette Avenue.
A medivac flew him to a trauma center and he has life-threatening injuries, fire officials said.
The Maryland Transit Administration said at 6:30 p.m. that Camden Line service was resuming and both tracks in the area were back open.
