Loudoun Hit and Run Caught on Tape

Authorities in Loudoun County are asking for help in identifying the driver of a minivan involved a hit and run.

The crash happened in the evening of Dec. 13 near the intersection of S. Cottage Road and S. Fox Road in Sterling.

Surveillance video shows the van colliding with a motorcycle before taking off. The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to be OK.

Investigators say they're looking for a burgundy Toyota Sienna van with damage to driver's side front end.

If you have any information about the crash or the vehicle in question, please call the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Reconstruction Unit at 703-771-5796. You may also submit anonymous tips with Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. There is a $1,000 reward in the case.
