GOATS VS. ALIENS: GOATS WON
SOMDNEWS.COM: " It was billed as “Goats versus Aliens” at Historic St. Mary's City. But, really, it was really no contest. The goats won.Between June 11 and 13, a herd of 30 goats was brought in to the historic site in St. Mary's City to chew away a tangle of unwanted, non-native (alien) plants on an acre of property near the Woodland Indian Hamlet. The early 16th-century colonists wouldn't have seen those non-native plants there, and the powers-that-be at Historic St. Mary's City don't want visitors to see them either."
