The following stories have been hand-selected by the Assignment Desk at News4:

SUPER MOON
Baltimore Sun: "The buzz on the Internet has been all about a scary 'super moon' this weekend. Seer Kit Karson, at PsychicCosmos.com, writes, 'Get ready for what could be moderate to severe weather patterns, increased seismic activity, tsunamis and more volcanic eruptions than normal.'"

SLOTS AT THE CRACKED CLAW ?
Frederick News Post: "Owners of the Cracked Claw in Urbana would like to be included in a bill that could allow slots in Frederick County. A bill pending before the Maryland General Assembly would allow the state to establish slots in Frederick, but would face stricter requirements for passage because it is a constitutional amendment. It would require a three-fifths majority vote and face a voter referendum. As written, the bill would allow slots within only five miles of the intersection of I-270 and I-70, excluding the Cracked Claw, which is 6.6 miles away from that intersection."

LOUDOUN HOME PRICES RISE
Loudoun Times: "More and more people were attracted to high-ticket homes last month, while the number of homes sold remained steady compared to February 2010. The average sales price of a Loudoun home, as well as the median sales price and the total dollar volume of sold homes, all increased last month compared to February 2010, according to a report released by RealEstate Business Intelligence, a Metropolitan Regional Information System company based in Maryland."
