The following stories have been hand-selected by the Assignment Desk at News4:

TRADEMARK "HON"
Baltimore Sun: "The idea -- the very idea! -- that one woman could legally own a word so deeply entrenched in Baltimore's lexicon, a term that seems to touch on the city's very blue-collar, audacious essence, did not sit well with many Baltimoreans. On Sunday, capping a week of outrage about Cafe Hon owner Denise Whiting's trademarking the word "Hon," about 50 people gathered in Hampden to protest."

OOPS...
Gazette
: "Some Winston Churchill High School students left school several hours before the final bell Thursday following an erroneous early dismissal. About 10:35 a.m., shortly after the county's first measurable snowfall of the year began, Principal Joan Benz announced over the public address system to the Potomac school that classes would end early, according to students and the school system."

wtop.com: "With less than a week left before Christmas, many stores are offering sales for last-minute shoppers.  But are they really good deals? Many sales -- especially the ones marked "limited time offer" -- are designed to make you feel lucky to have them, whether you're getting a bargain or not."
