E-mailing your way to snow-fighting supplies

A wise man once said that "it ain't over 'til it's over."  And based on the forecast, the snow ain't over yet.

If you still don't have a shovel (or if you wore out the cheap plastic red one you've been using the past three days), a local hardware store is there for you.

One catch:  You have to reserve your snow-fighting equipment online BEFORE the shipment even arrives.

Pfeiffers Hardware in Mt. Pleasant is allowing customers to sign up for e-mail alerts about the availability of the stuff you need to battle the snow, including shovels, salt, and ice choppers. Then, customers can go online and reserve it.

You'll get an alert when the store gets it in.

Some items have already been reserved by the store and you can go online and claim them for yourself for a Wednesday pickup.  If the truck makes it in, that is...
