"Lion Man" Wanted for 11 Robberies in D.C. Area

"Lion Man" Wanted for 11 Robberies in D.C. Area

The FBI is seeking the public's help in locating "Lion Man" who is wanted for robbing nearly a dozen area banks in the D.C. region.

Officials say the man -- who often dons a Detroit Lions baseball cap during his crimes -- is described being in his 40s, standing 5'10" and weighing approximately 240 pounds.

The FBI says he's responsible for robbing the following banks since February:

  • Wells Fargo, 860 North Rolling Road, Catonsville 02/18/2014
  • Wells Fargo, 860 North Rolling Road, Catonsville 03/14/2014
  • Wells Fargo, 6300 Richmond Highway, Fairfax, VA 04/18/2014
  • Wells Fargo, 2320 Ashton Street, Baltimore, MD 04/20/2014
  • Wells Fargo, 2320 Ashton Street, Baltimore, MD 04/21/2014
  • Capital One Bank, 11261 New Hampshire Ave Silver Spring, MD 04/21/2014
  • Capital One Bank, 11241 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 04/28/2014
  • MT&T Bank, 4915 Executive Park Drive, Columbia, MD 04/30/2014
  • Wells Fargo, 2320 Ashton Street, Baltimore, MD 05/01/2014
  • Suntrust Bank, 13814 Outlet Dr, Silver Spring, MD 05/01/2014
  • Suntrust Bank, 10000 Baltimore National Pike, Columbia, MD 05/01/2014
