Illegals are not just Hispanics but people who are here in this country illegally period. Look at the crimes just in the last two months, a 14 year old boy killed at a bus stop, an elderly lady burned alive, two elderly people beaten to death in DC who helped a huge amount of people in their community of every race down on their luck. The other elderly woman tied up and beaten in her home and murdered in Montgomery Cty. If bleeding hearts want to close their eyes to that so be it, the rest of us have a right to want this cruelty stopped and these people deported. • JF Friday, Dec 5 at 11:22 PM FLAG COMMENT I am good friends with the girl in this article and her family - "girl" is to be applauded, for she did everything right, starting by yelling NO at the guy and then running away. Is that not the first step in basic self defense? She ran to a safe place - her house. In panic, she didn't lock the door behind her, but the guy was set enough in his ways that he would have broken it down. She was not idly talking to a friend on that cell phone that all 15 year olds have, she knew her surroundings and what she had to do. Bottom line, she is safe and alive, the Laurel PD and community are all over this situation, and heaven help the ba$tard who tried to harm her. To the people in support of "girl" - we all thank you. This is a traumatic situation that could have been tragic. To the righteous people in here - let's see how you would have reacted in a similar situation - it's hard to say what you would do without being there. These things happen in the best and worst of neighborhoods - in the end, it's about protecting our children. I'm glad this story ran on channel 4 if for no other reason to remind people that yes, perverts and kidnappers are everywhere.
