Knock-Off Jeans Nabbed at Port

There's nothing like the real thing.

Norfolk, Va. -- Designer jean owners can breathe a sigh of relief.

Customs officials seized more than 20,000 pairs of counterfeit designer jeans at the Port of Hampton Roads Friday.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said the jeans were valued at more than $403,000.  Bill Blass, Rocawear and South Pole were among the brand labels on the jeans, which were shipped from China.  (What?  No "True Religion" or "Seven for all Mankind?")

Customs spokesman Tim Sushil said the jeans probably will be destroyed, although they could be donated with permission from trademark owners.
