Kidnapping and Sex Assault on F Street

Incident happened on Thursday evening

D.C. police are investigating a kidnapping and sex assault on F Street in northwest D.C.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on December 29.  MPD spokesperson George Kucik said the woman was pulling out from a parking garage on the 700 block of F Street in Chinatown when a man jumped into the passenger side of her vehicle.  The woman told police that her 15-month-old son was in the backseat at the time.

The victim told police her assailant  forced her at gun point to drive away from the area.  Police said they parked somewhere in the District, where the woman was sexually assaulted.  She called police around 8:30 p.m., and was met by officers on the 400 block of Farragut Street.

D.C. police said it was unclear if there was any link to the nearby Verizon Center.  On Thursday night, a WWE wrestling event was being held there.

The toddler was not injured in the incident.  MPD says the public should remain vigilant and lock the doors of their vehicle.
