Police say a 21-year-old Hyattsville man has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing a D.C. man on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The shooting was reported around 2 p.m. in the 3400 block of 13th Place SE. Kevin Owens, 22, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and later pronounced dead.
Friday, police arrested Markell Alston and charged him with second-degree murder while armed, and unlawful entry from an unrelated warrant.
