“Hulk” Tracks Down Man Who Stuffed Stolen Seafood Into His Shirt

A man accused of shoplifting seafood from a local Giant store, stuffing it into his clothing then fleeing the scene was apprehended by a police K9 named "Hulk."

Employees of the Giant grocery store on Courthouse Road in Spotsylvania County say a man approached the meat counter just before 1 p.m. Thursday, got a "large amount of seafood," then stuffed it in his clothing and tried to leave the store.

He took out a knife when he was approached by the store's loss prevention employees, and cut one of them on the arm.

He fled the area, but was later tracked down inside a nearby vacant home by the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's K9 named "Hulk."

The suspect has been identified as 34-year-old Lucas Taylor of Goochland, Va. He was arrested on charges of robbery, felony shoplifting and malicious wounding.

He's behind bars without bond.
