K-Mart and Sears will let shoppers get a jump on their holiday shopping by opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day.
Parent company Sears Holdings announced Monday that both chains will stay open from 6 a.m. Thanksgiving Day until 10 p.m. Friday -- a first for the retailers.
A growing number of stores are offering Black Friday deals a day early.
Last month, Macy's announced it will open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, breaking its 155-year tradition of being closed on Thanksgiving for most of their stores. J.C. Penney also plans to kick off the holiday shopping season at 8 p.m. Thanksgiving night.
