An 11-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle and injured Tuesday morning in Northeast D.C., police say.
The boy was hit on the 4200 block of Benning Road SE. Police were called about 8:45 a.m.
The boy ran into the road and was struck, police said in an update.
The driver of the vehicle is not at fault, but was driving with a suspended license, police said. The driver was arrested.
The boy suffered minor injures and was taken to a hospital as a precaution, police said.
