Joint Base Anacostia–Bolling in Washington, D.C., was on lockdown after reports of a potentially armed person in the barracks.
At 2:30 p.m., the base reported nothing was found and it is back to normal operations.
Base police and police from the Metropolitan Police Department were investigating. No shots were fired.

Base spokeswoman Michelle Gordon said base police and District of Columbia police swept the building three times but didn't find anything. She said investigators will review security footage in an attempt to determine what, if anything, led to the report.
